Tulphex Scan lets you scan and organise documents and QR codes on your phone. In short: your documents stay on this phone. There is no account, cloud, server, analytics, advertising or crash reporting.
Data we collect
None. The app has no internet permission; it does not connect to any server, and no data about you or your device reaches us.
Documents and text
Scanned pages, the PDFs made from them, recognised text, folders and names are kept only in the app’s private storage on your phone.
Scanning
The document scanner and the QR/barcode reader are on-device components of Google Play services. The app does not ask for camera permission; images are not sent to Google. Google Play services may download these components once, on first use; that download is made by Play services, not by the app.
Text recognition
Text recognition (OCR) runs with a model inside the app, on this phone, without internet.
QR links
A scanned link is checked on the device with rules (look-alike letters, link shorteners, unencrypted links and similar) before you open it; the address is never sent to a server. A link opens only when you tap it, in your own browser. QR history is kept only on this phone and can be turned off and cleared in Settings.
Sharing and exporting
When you share a document or save it to your device, you send the file to the app or place you choose; that app’s own privacy rules apply. The app never adds a watermark or any other mark to your files.
Backups
Documents are not backed up to Google Drive automatically. On Android 12 and later, device-to-device transfer when you set up a new phone carries your documents. “Create backup file” makes a single file and you choose where it goes; this file is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere you trust.
Purchases
Optional support payments are made through Google Play. Google processes payment and card details; they never reach us. Support does not unlock any feature.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete all data permanently removes documents, the trash, QR history and settings from this phone. Uninstalling the app also deletes all data. There is no copy anywhere else.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
